In case of an emergency at Henderson Primary School, an immediate response of either locking down the site or evacuating the buildings, is done with the respective alarm. Once this has occured, the process of managing the emergency safely and in a controlled manner are followed as per the Emergency Management Plan, until the emergency has been deemed that there is no longer any threat to the safety of any person.
Information gathering and open and regular communication to staff, families of staff and students and the public will be via our school website. This an effective way of maintaining control in a calm manner to what could possibly be a volatile and unsafe situation.
